Danpaati River Lodge — 4-day all-inclusive
Four days on the Upper Suriname, well past the point where the paved road gives up. A bus takes you to Atjoni; from there a korjaal carries you upstream to the island where the lodge sits.
The extra day is what changes the trip. Where three days mostly means following the programme, you now also have room to do nothing at all: a morning by the water, an afternoon in a hammock, a second swim in the river. The fixed programme stays the same: a Maroon village, a walk into the rainforest, a boat trip in the last light and an evening of drums and dance.
Accommodation, all meals, the excursions and return transport are included.
