Danpaati River Lodge — 5-day all-inclusive
Five days is long enough to take on the rhythm of the river. Day one is travel: bus to Atjoni, then upstream by korjaal to the island. After that something shifts. You start noticing when the birds begin, when the water changes colour, when it is time to eat.
The programme is the same as on the shorter stays: a Maroon village, a forest hike, a boat trip in the last light, an evening of music and dance. There is simply far more air between the parts. Enough to leave one day completely empty.
Cabin, all meals, excursions and return transport are included in the price.

That depends on how you travel. If you mainly want to see things, three days is enough. If you want to settle into a place and let go of the pace, five days is about right.
